Two young Iranian brothers are invited to exhibit their political street-art in New York. In exchange for their search for success they will become politically banned from their home. We follow their work from the streets of Tabriz to the Soho gallery. Now they have lost their canvas what is left?
De Iraanse broers Icy en Sot maken controversiële, maatschappijkritische graffitikunst in Tabriz. Als ze een uitnodiging krijgen om te exposeren in New York, lonken vrijheid en erkenning. De tentoonstelling is een succes, de broers hebben hun dromen waargemaakt. Maar de documentaire laat ook de keerzijde zien: als ze willen blijven, moeten de broers politiek asiel aanvragen en kunnen ze niet meer terug naar hun geboorteland. Is het succes in New York dat wel waard? En heeft hun werk nog wel de betekenis die het had in Iran?
